We are a residential real estate company, and we specialize in making what can be a very stressful process, a seamless one. So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Rene Sorola Properties at Keller Williams Metropolitan story. The two struggles have gone hand in hand. But if you can manage to stack your team with talent, then your time is suddenly leveraged and you’re able to be more present in your personal life. My biggest priority is being a good husband and father, sometimes that has conflicted with the responsibility I have to my company. I would say the two biggest struggles I’ve faced have been finding the right talent, and the time I’ve had to sacrifice with my family. Running your own business is never a smooth road. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you? We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. So when a buddy approached me with a real estate investment opportunity, I jumped on it! Long story short, we ended up making a profit of 60K, which we split between the two of us, and I was hooked! I went on to graduate from A&M and took a corporate job, here in Houston, that I absolutely hated. I come from a pretty humble background, but I was one of the lucky ones because I had an amazing upbringing from my Mom and Dad.
